Fired up for my first day at the new job!

Well... that was a great start at a new company! Just got the call from my boss telling me to hold off coming to work my first day because... the place was on fire! The post image is taken out of my bedroom window.

But lets back up a little... where have I been?

I haven't been blogging for 3 years but had decided to pick it up again after moving to my new job as Senior developer at Marel Innova.

I was going to start with a blog series about code testing, but since I don't have to go to work because of the fire this will be the first post of hopefully many.

Since I was last active on this (and my old blog that is now gone) allot has gone on in my professional life.

Work has just about been my only life since then.

But that is now going to change! I decided to switch my priorities over to my family and my health, from working long stressful hours with hard deadlines coming and going all the time.

So I made the move to change work and business domain (by by banking, hello chickens and pigs!) and shorten my daily drive to work from c.a 40-60 min to 5-7 min.

mareldistance

2.7 km to work if I run over the golf course. Something I of course will have to try out when I get into shape.

That part is taken care of because literally in the house next door (well until to day that is) the CrossfitXy box is so I'm of course going to start doing crossfit again.

I will not be working crazy overtimes for my day job (except if there are some serious deadlines that need to be met, but not on regular basis!).

But I hope to be doing more stuff (blogs, apps etc.) for my self burning the midnight oil.

I was looking forward to start my first day in at the new job today but that just needs to wait a little until its clear where I should sit and work. That will probably take few days.

I'll keep you posted. I hope to see you soon with more technical "stuff".
